Rule of Thirds Assignment
This assignment was to take photos with a three by three grid and split the photo composition along the lines of the grid. For example, the horizon line might take up 2/3 of the picture. Another part of this assignment was to place the subject on one of the crossed sections of the grid.

  1. These are awesome! I especially like the ones on the trampoline and the one with the flower! Your explanation was good, but you didn't add anything about what you did. But other than that it was great. You really did a good job of getting the subject in one or more of the corners.

  2. Great flow of photos I think that you got a good range of horizon line photos and placement photos. All of them have a lot of depth, I especially like the ones of the person jumping on a trampoline!! Good work.

  3. I really like your photos, my only suggestion is that you didn't need so many similar photos with the jumping, but I really like all of them.

  5. I really like the photos of the guy jumping but I think they should be in their own album. One way to make them stronger it to keep the values the same because some of your photos are black and white and others are colored or sepia or faded and they don't flow as smoothly. Maybe you could separate them. Great Job!

  7. You have a very nice eye. It is clear you put a lot of effort into these and captured some great shots. They all are basically rule of thirds and I think your most successful ones were the jumping boy. Not only were these awesome, but they have a lot of character. Excellent!

  8. I really like the trampoline and city-scape pictures, your placement and division comes off really well in them. however in some of your other shots the subject starts to take up what seems to me like a bit too much of the shot to effectively portray the rule of thirds. In light of that, I like the photos a lot because the architecture you photographed has "a lot to say" and acts as a very good subject.

  9. I really like the simplicity of some of these photos. The set does a good job of using the rule of thirds and I extremely like the photos of the person jumping on the trampoline
